The health and safety of our constituents, volunteers and staff remain our driver as we address the COVID-19 outbreak and as we continue to pursue our mission, today and in the longer term.

Based on guidance from the CDC and local public health agencies, we are implementing the following precautionary measures:

Throughout the pandemic, the staff of the South Carolina Chapter have been working remotely. We are prepared with technological and other support for our staff to successfully operate in support of our mission.

Alzheimer’s Association operations will continue, and we will re-evaluate these measures on an ongoing basis and resume in-person engagements as soon as we are able, based on public health guidelines.

All meetings, events and participation in activities (both internal and external) will now be conducted online or by phone whenever possible. You can now access local programs from the safety of home, including education programs, caregiver support groups, and advocacy events by visiting our Virtual Offerings page.

During this time, the Alzheimer’s Association is available to you 24/7 for around-the-clock care and support via our Helpline at 1.800.272.3900.

We encourage you to email our chapter staff with any specific questions or concerns that you may have. You can also stay connected by subscribing to our weekly E-news and following our SC Chapter Facebook Page.

Finally, please take a look at our resources for caregivers as we all do our part to protect our loved ones and reduce community spread of the Coronavirus and COVID-19.
