In addition to our support services, the Alzheimer's Association can help connect you with other South Carolina resources that may be helpful to you.

SC Lieutenant Governor's Office on Aging
The Lt. Governor's Office on Aging and our state's aging and disability network can help connect seniors with resources in your community.  Their new web resource, GetCareSC.com, is especially useful for finding available beds in care facilities.

SC Department of Health and Environmental Control
DHEC is an important partner in educating South Carolina about the risk factors that may contribute to cognitive decline. Check out their brain health website!

South Carolina Healthy Connections - Department of Health and Human Services
It's not unusual for families facing Alzheimer's or related dementia to look into Medicaid eligibility to help pay for long term care for loved ones. Learn more about eligibility or apply online here.

For those 65+, Healthy Connections Prime is a new program that combines all of the benefits of Medicare and Healthy Connections Medicaid under a single Medicare-Medicaid plan to make it easier to get the health services you need. Medicare Part D prescription plan is also covered under this plan. Learn more or call the SC Thrive Customer Service Center at (800) 726-8774, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. TTY users call 711.
