“Life doesn’t end with a dementia diagnosis a new life begins. It’s really important to connect with and support others who understand what you are going through. With the support of others, I am making the most of this next phase in my life.”

- Maria Turner
Peer to Peer Group Facilitator
Former National Early Stage Advisory Group Member

Individuals with early stage cognitive loss (Alzheimer's, dementia or mild cognitive impairment) often feel isolated from friends or family members. Our early stage social engagement programs provide a safe space to build companionship with peers.

Participants should be in the early stages of Alzheimer's, dementia or mild cognitive impairment, aware of their diagnosis, and willing to discuss their experiences in a group.

To learn more about early stage programs, please contact Debbie Schneider, Program Manager, at deschneider@alz.org or 843-492-0472.
