Los Angeles, CA, 8/13/2020 — The Alzheimer’s Association California Southland has appointed David Glass, J.D., Ph.D, as chair of its board of directors. As the newly appointed board chair, Glass plans to increase participation in chapter initiatives across the board of directors, leading to increased fundraising and, ultimately, services for those facing Alzheimer’s across the California Southland.

“My driving force is building the board to create more opportunities to grow services and ensure families have the resources they need to fight Alzheimer’s, that businesses and civic leaders have the information they need to help fight Alzheimer’s and that we are attacking the disease from every angle,” said Glass.

As the managing partner at Enenstein Pham & Glass LLP, Glass is also a State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization Family Law Specialist – a distinction held by only a small percentage of the family law practitioners in California.  Prior to his career in family law, Glass worked as a therapist who treated adults with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and drug and alcohol addictions.

“David is an innate leader who continues to ask how we can better build the California Southland as a research hub, in advocating for our families and in serving.  During his previous two years on our board of directors, he took conversations to the next levels of how our board can better succeed.  We are thrilled he is now our chair,” said Meg Barron, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland.

In addition to his work with the Alzheimer’s Association, David is also an Associate Editor of The Los Angeles Psychologist, a regular contributor to Divorced and Hitched magazines, and has been quoted extensively in articles for New York Daily News, People, and Huffington Post.  His book, Moving On:  Redesigning Your Emotional, Financial and Social Life After Divorce is an Amazon bestseller.

Glass lives in West Los Angeles with his wife and children.
