About the Conference

AAIC Satellite Symposium brings together the dementia science and brain health community to discuss emerging trends, tackle challenges and foster innovation. This meeting emphasizes collaboration, equity and leadership development to help reduce the global burden of dementia, with particular focus on the Mediterranean region.

AAIC Satellite Symposia are a series of regional meetings that bring key elements of the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® (AAIC) around the globe. These meetings recognize that the unique characteristics and needs of individual countries must inform their approach to dementia care and research. By broadly sharing locally conducted research and statistics, the international research community can work together and find commonalities.

This meeting is hosted in collaboration with the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) and the Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health.

All are invited to submit abstracts and share their work on the latest findings in dementia research. Areas of interest include:

  • Basic science and pathogenesis
  • Biomarkers
  • Clinical manifestations
  • Public health
  • Drug development
  • Dementia care
