Winter Weather Tips

Winter weather conditions — colder temperatures, snow or ice and early darkness — can be potentially dangerous and even life-threatening for the 400,000 people living with Alzheimer’s or dementia in Texas. For their 1.1 million caregivers, the stress and challenges to keep their loved ones safe during this time can be overwhelming. By preparing in advance, caregivers can make a big difference in keeping their loved one with Alzheimer’s or other dementia safe.

Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.™ For more information, visit www.alz.org or call the 24/7 Helpline at 800.272.3900.
