The West Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is excited to announce a new program, Teens #ENDALZ.

By partnering with the El Paso Society for Musicians of the Future, teens in the community will help bring awareness and education to people living with Alzheimer's and all other dementia, as well as provide engaging programs and resources beneficial to families and caregivers.

The El Paso Society for Musicians of the Future is a nonprofit providing instruments and resources to teens with a passion for pursuing music in high school and during their college experience.

Listening to music often provides emotional and behavioral benefits for people with Alzheimer's or other dementia. Some of the upcoming concerts include popular holiday music selections such as Vince Guaraldi's Linus and Lucy made famous in A Charlie Brown Christmas and the perennial holiday classic, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

Additionally, young ladies from Eastwood High School and the Young Women's Leadership Academy in El Paso will present Food for Thought, a series of simple cooking lessons researched and prepared by them to engage caregivers and all family members.
