Walk to End Alzheimer's
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death.
June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month
This is an opportunity to hold a conversation about the brain, and share the fact that Alzheimer's disease and other dementias are a major public health problem. During the month of June, the Alzheimer's Association® is celebrating all the "community heros" who do so much to support families and those living with Alzheimer's and dementia.
The Longest Day
The Longest Day is June 20, 2020. This unique event is held annually, on the day with the most light - the summer solstice. We chose the longest day of the year, to honor those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, for whom every day is the longest day. Participants choose an activity they love and host a fundraising activity to raise valuable funds to support the mission. Check out a few of our shining examples:
