"Ted" painting at our Memories in the Making program in Orlando

February 27, 2015

"Dear Martha,
I want to convey my deepest gratitude to you and your organization for the opportunity you have given to my husband and me. The gift of self discovery and the peace that comes from creating art has given us both a place to go from the stress of losing parts of our lives to the terrible ravages of Alzheimer's. Sitting side by side trying to interpret a simple piece of art has given us a new way to communicate; a missing element, lost in the tangle of debilitating disease.

Your wonderful volunteer Pam has just the right touch with the students, my husband thinks she is absolutely the BEST and so looks forward to his hour with her. We are ever gratuful to you and the people involved who are connecting the dots between illness and the healing power of art."

New Google Hangout Support Group Offered Online!

Once a month on Tuesday night @ 7:30, we are offering something special! Working with the Alzheimer's Association, Central and North Florida Chapter and Hilarity for Charity, we are holding one of the first Google Hangout Video Support Groups for Alzheimer’s caregivers and their families - this is for anyone who wants to learn more about caregiving or supporting caregivers who are taking care of loved ones in the family.
These support groups will use technology to connect people who are navigating the disease while dealing with the unique stressors of their daily lives. If you want more information, let us know by calling 800-272-3900 or email us at Spread the word. Tell a friend. Together, we make a difference.

Your gift today will make a difference in the lives of people facing Alzheimer's.
