Take action
The Alzheimer's Association has outlined three priority areas of action for the public health community:
- Increase data collection – through the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) survey.
- Promote brain health – primary prevention is the ultimate public health imperative.
- Increase early detection of Alzheimer's.
A partnership to protect our brain health
The Alzheimer’s Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) partnered to create the Healthy Brain Initiative to promote public health knowledge and awareness about Alzheimer’s as a public health issue. Together, we developed an action plan for public health leaders called the Road Map.
