June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness month

Everyone who has a brain is at risk to develop Alzheimer's, a fatal disease that is often misunderstood. During the month of June, you can help by raising awareness and taking action. The Alzheimer's Association asks you to uncover the truth about Alzheimer's and take action. Read Pamela Beidler's blog entry "Alzheimer's Disease: Myth vs. Reality"

Do you provide care to a loved one living with dementia?

The University of Vermont, in collaboration with the Governor's Commission on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, is conducting a statewide survey of caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD). The results from this survey will help Vermont better plan for the growing needs of families that are dealing with the challenges of caring for a loved one with a memory disorder.

Do you provide care to a loved one living with dementia? Please visit the following link to complete a brief survey to help us better understand the experience of caring for someone with dementia: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ADRDCaregiver

The survey takes about 20-30 minutes to complete and will be open until August 1, 2016. It asks questions about the caregiver’s experience, services and supports that are used and those that are needed. The survey is anonymous and confidential.
