Power of Purple holds its inaugural event
Women are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer's, and women are joining together to lead the fight to end this disease. The Alzheimer's Association Power of Purple®, the inaugural garden party luncheon by Illinois Women United Against Alzheimer's, was a success, raising $42,000! Judy Hsu, anchor of Chicago ABC Eyewitness News at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. emceed the event at Galleria Marchetti, with featured speakers Heather M. Snyder, Ph.D., Senior Director of Medical and Scientific Relations at the Alzheimer's Association and Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns, Chair of The Judy Fund and co-producer of Still Alice. Thank you to all who organized and attended this inspiring gathering to raise funds and awareness for the fight against Alzheimer's.
