As the sun sets on The Longest Day™, teams across the country are gathering after nearly 16 hours of endurance activities to honor those with Alzheimer’s disease. Together, these participants ran, walked, biked, hiked and pushed their limits to raise funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.

Each team is holding a ceremony at sunset, where they will not only celebrate their accomplishments today , but will also honor those facing Alzheimer’s with love, strength and dedication.

Today, Team Life-Cycle spent 16 hours riding, running and rolling to fight Alzheimer’s. “Ten years ago this August, my dad lost his life to Alzheimer’s,” said Team Captain Cliff MacLeod. “I miss him very much. I’m pretty sure he would be spinning along with me on the road today if he could.
