8th Annual Hope on the Harbor

Hope on the Harbor is an annual gala that brings together corporate and philanthropic leadership from the greater Boston area to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission. Each year, the event honors a Corporate Champion and an Individual/Family Champion who are making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. With more than 600 attendees annually, this premier event raises awareness and funds to support our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

New Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2020

In order to protect the health and safety of everyone in our community, Hope on the Harbor has been rescheduled to October 13, 2020 and will be hosted virtually.

Now More Than Ever: A Letter to Our Community

Based on guidance from local public health agencies, including the latest CDC and Governor Baker recommendations surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to host Hope on the Harbor virtually this year. The health and safety of our constituents, volunteers, vendors, partners and everyone in our community remain our drivers as we address this pandemic and as we continue to pursue our mission today and in the future.

The good news is that you can now enjoy Hope on the Harbor from the comfort of your home! The event will still take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Please invite your family and friends to join in on the fun! More details about our virtual event will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

We know that we all are going through uncertain times and we truly appreciate your partnership and support and look forward to making our 2020 gala a success. If you have already committed to a sponsorship or donation for the 2020 event, we truly appreciate it! Your sponsorship and associated benefits will be transferred to the virtual event. Please click here to review the updated sponsorship benefit and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Your support of our event means more than ever before!

While everyone deals with this together, we hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and that we can come together for an incredible and impactful fundraiser that raises critical funds for the Alzheimer's Association and community, which will be needed now more than ever. Should you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

2020 Hope Champions

Bank of America

2020 Corporate Hope Champion

Bank of America has become a leader in the Alzheimer's space, helping to demonstrate the economic impact that this disease will have on our country over the coming years. They have produced leading research on the financial impact of dementia and cognitive decline, helped to educate employees on ways to recognize how the disease impacts their customers and employees, and created materials to help advisors recognize the signs of dementia. They have also helped to expand the support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's and Hope on the Harbor over the past few years.

Glenn and Faith Parker

2020 Family Hope Champion

Faith and Glenn Parker have been directly affected by Alzheimer's as this disease has impacted both sides of their families. The Parkers are major donors to our chapter and Faith serves as a board member. They are involved in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, advocacy and public policy initiatives, and Lexington Goes Purple. Their generous support across all pillars has been critical in helping the Alzheimer's Association serve families throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
