2012 Part the Cloud Gala

On May 3, 2014 Part the Cloud hosted its second black-tie gala and it was a record breaking evening. The evening raised $4 million, making it the largest one-day fundraiser ever for the Alzheimer's Association! Our guests came together to speak up, reach out and come together to take action and make the prospect of a cure a reality. The evening featured appearances by Brooke Shields, Virginia Madsen and our featured performer Chris Isaak — their energy and compassion further contributed to the unbelievable vitality of the evening.

Part the Cloud is continuing the conversation to advance research and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. Founded in 2012, Part the Cloud has raised over $6 million for Alzheimer’s research. With 100% of the proceeds from Part the Cloud going directly to Association research efforts, Part the Cloud is helping to support some of the most innovative research in Alzheimer's prevention.

This event raises awareness and inspires attendees to join us in tackling the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, the only disease in the top ten causes of death without a way to prevent it, cure it, or slow its progression. Our goal is to educate, fundraise and to accelerate critically needed Alzheimer's research as well as raise awareness about this terrible disease.

Stay tuned for details about our 2015 luncheon that will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club. For more information or questions about Part the Cloud, please contact Lynne Carey at 312.335.575 or lcarey@alz.org.
