Hill's career in the realm of human resources and total rewards began in the field of actuarial consulting, where he honed his skills as both a retirement and healthcare actuary. His analytical background, combined with his innate ability to understand the intricacies of human resources management, has allowed him to craft innovative and comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Whitman College.
