2021 Boston Marathon®

Team End ALZ is proud to be an official Partner of John Hancock in the Marathon Non-Profit Program. The Non-Profit Program provides over 1000 Boston Marathon® bibs to select non-profit organizations throughout the community. The John Hancock Marathon Non-Profit Program provides organizations with a significant fundraising opportunity.

The 125th Boston Marathon will be taking place on October 11, 2021 with a reduced field size of 20,000 athletes. Team End ALZ has a very limited number of available charity entries. To apply for the opportunity to join the team please read through the details and requirements listed below.

QUALIFIED RUNNERS: 
If you are a time-qualified runner, have secured your own entry, and want to run on Team End ALZ for the 2021 Boston Marathon click on the application button above and select “2021 Qualified Runner with a secured bib” and fill out the form to join the team!

2021 Requirements:

For runners using a charity race entry provided by the Alzheimer’s Association:

  • $15,000 required fundraising minimum
  • $370 race entry fee + $25 COVID-19 mitigation fee (amount set by the B.A.A.)
 
For time-qualified runners or those who have secured their own race entry:
  • $3,000 suggested fundraising minimum

2021 VIRTUAL Boston Marathon®

Run the 2021 Virtual Boston Marathon for Team End ALZ! A once in a lifetime, historic opportunity to complete 26.2 and earn the coveted Boston Marathon unicorn finisher’s medal, while supporting the Alzheimer’s Association in honor or memory of a loved one.
 
The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) is offering a Virtual Boston Marathon in celebration of the 125th Boston Marathon this fall. Registration is open to the first 70,000 entrants. Athletes do not need a qualifying time to register for the virtual Boston Marathon, though must be 18 years of age or older. Virtual participants run or walk 26.2 miles consecutively anywhere and anytime between October 8-10, 2021. 

STEP 1: Register for the virtual marathon! CLICK HERE and create a profile on the B.A.A.’s “Athlete’s Village” to access the virtual marathon registration form. 
 
STEP 2: Join Team End ALZ! CLICK HERE to register.
 
STEP 3: Set up your personal fundraising page on GivenGain. You’ll receive a unique link via email to get started.
 
STEP 4: Share your story, raise vital funding, start training, and have fun knowing you are part of an amazing team that’s running towards a world without Alzheimer’s!

Virtual Runner Requirements:

  • $20 Activation Donation (tax deductible, counts towards your fundraising total)
  • Must have a confirmed Virtual Boston Marathon registration to join 

All Virtual Boston Marathon Team End ALZ Members Receive:

  • No required fundraising minimum
  • Preferred consideration to run the historic in-person 2022 Boston Marathon on Team End ALZ 
  • Team End ALZ running singlet
