2017 Gala Kick-Off Reception

2017 Gala Photo Gallery

In 2017, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala! The event was chaired by Betsy and David Goltermann and took place on Saturday, May 13th. Thanks to all of our past and current Gala chairs, honorees and Committee Members for 30 amazing years supporting the Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala! This year we raised over $1 million which allows us to raise awareness, advance public policy, ensure care and support, and accelerate research to ultimately end Alzheimer’s disease.

Check out our video recap of some of the most exciting moments of this year's celebration and join us again next year, on May 12th, 2018 as we continue the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Princess Yasmin Aga Khan began the Gala in honor of her mother, actress Rita Hayworth, who died as a result of Alzheimer's disease. Under Princess Yasmin Aga Khan's leadership, over $72 million has been raised through the Chicago, Palm Beach and New York Rita Hayworth Galas. These funds, combined with other donations, have helped the Alzheimer's Association work toward our vision of a world without Alzheimer's disease.
