Comedy Show Raises Funds for The Alzheimer’s Association
Several individuals and organizations from the Greater Rochester area held The Longest Day® events to bring attention to Alzheimer’s and other dementias and raise funds to find a cure.
Alzheimer’s Association volunteer Elizabeth Chatterton of Rochester hosted a benefit at The Carlson Comedy Club. Popular local stand-up comics Joel Lindley, John Mungovan and Todd Youngman perform. Another well-known stand-up comedian, Malcolm Whitfield, emceed the at the “Laugh Your ALZ Off” fundraiser on Wednesday, June 20, from 7 to 10 p.m. “Both of my grandfathers died of Alzheimer’s and I have seen firsthand what a devastating disease it can be. I’m raising funds to help ignite a global conversation about Alzheimer’s and other dementias,” Chatterton said.
