Indiana advocate recognized at Alzheimer’s Impact Movement Forum

McLaurin-Robinson’s advocacy journey is defined by persistence and purpose. For the past five years, she has served as a Senate Ambassador, consistently advancing critical policy priorities while building strong, lasting relationships with policymakers. Her approach is thoughtful, strategic and rooted in a deep commitment to the Alzheimer’s community.
In 2025, McLaurin-Robinson embraced a pivotal opportunity to engage with a newly elected Senator transitioning from the House. Through consistent outreach and a steady cadence of advocacy throughout the year, she built a productive relationship that led to a major milestone: just weeks after the introduction of the ASAP Act in the Senate, Senator Banks became Indiana’s first cosponsor. This also marked the first time in his congressional career that he supported an Alzheimer’s Association priority bill.
McLaurin-Robinson’s influence extends across both federal and state advocacy efforts. During State Advocacy Day, her meeting with her State Representative led to an invitation to attend a community town hall. She seized the opportunity to expand awareness, ensuring attendees left with Alzheimer’s Association resources and clear pathways to support. Her State Senator also signed on as a cosponsor of a key policy priority shortly after speaking with her. These outcomes reflect her ability to turn conversations into action and bring resources directly to the communities that need them.

“Advocating for Alzheimer’s awareness is more than a cause for me — it is personal,” said McLaurin-Robinson. “It is about honoring my grandmother’s life, supporting caregivers like my mother, and being a voice for families navigating the uncertainty, fear, and grief that comes with this disease. Because I know what it feels like to need help — and how life-changing it is when someone answers the call.”
In addition to her advocacy work, McLaurin-Robinson is a trusted mentor within Indiana’s advocacy program. She supports fellow volunteers with guidance, encouragement and a strong example of effective leadership. Her influence strengthens the broader advocacy community and inspires others to stay engaged.
“Tiffani embodies the very best of Alzheimer’s advocacy,” shared Laura Aust, Territory Director of Grassroots Advocacy. “Through her dedication, compassion and results-driven approach, she has strengthened relationships, advanced policy and expanded access to critical resources.”
Congratulations, Tiffani McLaurin-Robinson, on being named AIM Advocate of the Year. Your impact continues to make a difference for families and communities across Indiana and nationwide.
