    What is Dementia?
Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning thinking, remembering and reasoning  to such an extent that it interferes with a person's daily life and activities.
Alzheimer's disease accounts for 60-80% of all dementia cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common cause of dementia.

Those who expereince the brain changes of multiple types of dementia simultaneously have mixed dementia.

A progessive brain disease, dementia is complex, and its impacts and symptoms are varied and unique as the individual it affects.
