Donate NowThe board of the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado has added business executives from Breckenridge, Denver and Larkspur. “We are thrilled to welcome these highly accomplished professionals to the board of the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado,” said Board Chair Cindy George.
Three senior-level business leaders have been elected to the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado board of directors.
Joining the board on two-year terms are:
- Kijah Hanson, broker associate at Colorado Premier, Breckenridge
- Rachel Spilo, founder and CEO of Catalyst Solutions, Denver
- Steve Starzec, managing director, Fifth Third Wealth Advisors, Larkspur

“We are thrilled to welcome these highly accomplished professionals to the board of the Alzheimer's Association of Colorado,” said Cindy George, chair of the Colorado chapter board. “They bring a passion for this cause as well as invaluable networking connections throughout the state to help us spread the message that the Association is an essential resource for the 91,000 Coloradans living with Alzheimer’s and the loved ones who care for them.”
Hanson, Spilo and Starzec were elected to the 19-member board to two-year terms running through summer of 2027. At the same meeting, the board elected new officers for the coming year:
- Cindy George of Lakewood, chair – president of American Medical Sales and Rentals
- Leasha Larson of Timnath, vice-chair and recruitment chair – retired principal and area leader at Edward Jones
- Wendy Davis of Evergreen, engagement chair – managing director at KPMG
- Debra Wells of Centennial, operations chair – retired operations director at Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado
- Lindsey Villa of Denver, member at large – regional vice president of sales at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Other members of the Colorado board include:

- Shirika Cousin of Aurora, community health advocate
- James Fraser of Denver, senior vice president and Rocky Mountain region lead at Alliant Employee Benefits
- Shay Kerman of Denver, owner of Urgent Care Solutions

- Michael Lammers of Denver, franchise owner at Home Instead
- Christy Palazzo of Highlands Ranch, president, AMPP4, Managed Health / HydrogenPlus
- Mattye Pollard-Cole of Centennial, retired mathematics educator and state math education advisor
- Mark Thompson of Highlands Ranch, chief growth officer at Delta Dental of Colorado
- Libby Weaver of Denver, residential real estate broker with Compass and former evening news anchor for Denver FOX-31 television
- Johnathon Woodcock of Denver, clinical associate professor, Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus and medical legal consultant in neurology, neurological rehabilitation, and neuropsychiatry
