Mercy C.A.R.E.S. Grant Empowers Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter to Serve More Families

We are honored to share that the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter has been selected as a beneficiary of a Mercy C.A.R.E.S. Community Reinvestment Grant. This incredible support will help us continue providing life-changing programs, education, and resources to families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias across Arizona.

Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss—it’s a disease that affects entire families. In Arizona alone, more than 150,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s, and countless loved ones are navigating the emotional and financial challenges that come with it. This grant ensures that we can reach more people with the help they need, when they need it most.

Mercy Care has been a trusted leader in Medicaid managed care for 40 years, committed to improving health and well-being for all Arizonans. Through its Mercy C.A.R.E.S. program, Mercy Care partners with organizations that advance health equity and address critical needs like chronic condition management, mental health, housing security, and recovery support. Since 2016, Mercy C.A.R.E.S. has invested nearly $40 million in community projects that make a lasting impact.

Kinsey McManus, Program Director at the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter, shared: “We are deeply grateful to Mercy Care for this generous grant. Their commitment to health equity and community well-being aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure that no one faces dementia alone. This partnership will allow us to expand vital programs and provide hope and support to families across Arizona.”
