Donate Now5th Annual A Bright Night Gala Returns to San Jose at a New Venue in April 2025, Alzheimer’s Association Announces
Peter Daly, Founding Principal of ABD Insurance and Financial Services, chosen as 2025 honorary chair
The stellar event has raised over $2 million over the last two years to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to fund research and provide care and support services for those living with Alzheimer’s and their families. Next year’s gala will again feature an elegant ambiance with a seated dinner, inspiring speakers, and an engaging live auction with one-of-a-kind items and unique experiences for the 275 guests expected to attend. Peter Daly, Founding Principal of ABD Insurance and Financial Services, will be the honorary chair.
Daly was inspired to get involved due to a personal connection to the disease. His father was an intelligent business executive in Michigan’s auto industry. He was an accomplished professional and committed to his family. After he retired, Daly’s family noticed that he exhibited odd behavior, such as being indecisive and confused. This was not the version of their father they knew as quick-witted, loving and kind. In early 2001, Daly’s father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
“I’m honored to be the honorary chair for the gala, and I’m pleased I can pay tribute to my dad’s legacy in such a meaningful way,” said Daly. “I am especially invested in the Association’s mission of funding research, building awareness of this complex disease and helping patients and caregivers traverse the course of their Alzheimer’s journey. I am fully committed to raising funds to help in these efforts while also providing much needed support services for families in our region.”
An estimated 720,000 Californians over the age of 65 were living with Alzheimer’s in 2020, with that number projected to more than double by 2040.
