Triple Your Impact This Holiday Season
Celebrate the holidays with a year-end gift that can go 3x as far to help provide care and support to the millions affected by Alzheimer's disease, and to advance critical research. But please hurry — this 3x Match Challenge ends soon.
Donate NowDuring Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, make a commitment to join the cause by signing up for Walk to End Alzheimer's 2025 in South Carolina!
As we go purple this month to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and all dementia, we are reminded that each of us has a story and a reason to end this disease. These reasons are never more on display than during our Promise Garden ceremony at each Walk to End Alzheimer’s event, a colorful display of determination to fight back against a disease that takes so much. That’s why we are so excited to offer a special Walk to End Alzheimer’s challenge this month! During June 9-22, you have a chance to earn your own Promise Garden flower pin to wear all year long. Just register for the 2025 Walk as a team captain, customize your fundraising webpage and make a self-donation during the challenge period to receive the pin as a gift of thanks.

Bonus! If 5 or more team members register on your team June 9-22, they'll each get the pin, too.
Already a team captain? You can still get in on this challenge. Just be sure your page is customized and make a self-donation during the challenge to be eligible.
We’ll send you the color flower pin that matches your connection to the cause as indicated on the Walk registration form. Just like the flowers provided for the Promise Garden on Walk day, each color represents participants’ connection to Alzheimer’s — their reasons to end the disease.

Blue: Someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
Purple: An individual who has lost someone to the disease.
Yellow: A person who is currently supporting or caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s.
Orange: A participant who supports the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and other dementia®.
Together, the colors of the Promise Garden Flowers signify our solidarity in the fight against the disease. We walk for families facing the disease today. We walk for advancements in treatment. We walk for the next generation. We walk for a future world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia.

How do I register as a Team Captain?
Forming a Walk team is easy! Find your local Walk at alz.org/walk, and click "Register." If you're a new participant, click "Start a team." You will automatically become the Team Captain. Then, ask friends, family and coworkers to join your team and the fight against Alzheimer’s. If you are a returning participant, log in with your username and password, then choose to start a new team or restart your team from last year.
How do I customize my fundraising webpage?
Just log in to your Participant Center at alz.org/walk, then visit the "My Page" section to upload a photo and/or customize the text about why you’re walking. You can also download the ALZ Fundraising app for iPhone or Android, to update your fundraising page and add a photo from your phone. The ALZ Fundraising app is also your one-stop shop for getting notified on all donations, texting family and friends to ask for support and posting your story to social media.
How do I make a self-donation?
The funds you raise through Walk to End Alzheimer’s fuel the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and help advance critical care, support and research. Every dollar counts! It’s easy to make a self-donation as during the Walk registration process. You can also log in to your Participant Center and/or ALZ Fundraising App later and click “Donate” on your dashboard. When you kick off your fundraising with a self-donation, a self-donor badge will be prominently displayed on your personal fundraising page for all to see your commitment to the cause.
How do I recruit team members?
Use the awesome resources in your Participant Center and/or ALZ Fundraising App to help recruit friends, family, neighbors, community members and colleagues to join your team. Our tools includes videos, tips and printable items like posters, flyers, business cards, footprints and more. But most of all, just ask one on one. Most people are just waiting to be invited.
Register for your local Walk to End Alzheimer’s today and invite others to walk with you! We’ll provide tips and coaching every step of the way, and we can’t wait to come together for an inspiring community event this fall that celebrates our commitment to ending the disease.
