A winning day for Alzheimer's awareness: over 850 volunteers gather at Brewers game

MILWAUKEE, WI, JULY 29, 2025 – More than 850 volunteers, supporters, and friends came together on Sunday, July 27, for the Alzheimer’s Awareness Brewers Game & Tailgate Party, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter at American Family Field. Their turnout made a powerful statement in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

The event kicked off at the Tailgate Haus, where people from across Wisconsin gathered for an afternoon of connection and food, all with a common goal – fighting Alzheimer's.

Brewers sportscaster and this year's statewide Honorary Chair for the Walk to End Alzheimer's, Bill Schroeder, along with Jeff Levering (2024 Chair) and Craig Coshun (2023 Chair), joined the celebration to show their support and share why this cause matters to them. Their presence energized the crowd, made the day extra special, and brought even more attention to a disease that impacts more than 110,000 people in Wisconsin.

Attendees were encouraged to join upcoming Walks to End Alzheimer's, become year-round volunteers, and advocate for improved care and increased research funding.

"Seeing hundreds of volunteers come together is truly inspiring. Days like this show families and loved ones affected by Alzheimer's that they're not alone, and together, we can make a difference," said Dave Grams, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association Wisconsin Chapter.

The day was about more than just the game – it was a chance for people to unite, learn more about Alzheimer's, and support ongoing care and research. Volunteers, sponsors, and Brewers fans left feeling inspired and hopeful for the future.
