PORT WASHINGTON, WI, MAY 21, 2025 – Newcastle Place will join the Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter as a 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® sponsor in Port Washington, Wisconsin.  Newcastle Place, a senior living community in Mequon, is renowned for its specialized memory care services, offering safety, dignity, and purpose for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Their commitment to compassionate care aligns with the Walk’s mission to advance research, support families, and ultimately find a cure.

The Ozaukee County Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held on Saturday, October 4, at Veteran's Memorial Park Bandshell in Port Washington. The event opens at 8:30 a.m., with the walk commencing at 10 a.m. On Walk Day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer's with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.

"Newcastle Place is once again honored to sponsor the Walk to End Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association Wisconsin Chapter displays great commitment and passion to raising awareness of Alzheimer's disease and supporting the families of many of the residents at Newcastle Place. We look forward to the Walk in October and cannot wait to celebrate the incredible work being done," said Geoff Minarik, Nursing Home Administrator, Newcastle Place.

Newcastle Place provides a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation, ensuring residents receive tailored support at every stage. Their memory care program features 24/7 trained team members, secure environments, and personalized activities designed to enhance cognitive well-being.

"We are grateful for Newcastle Place's partnership in the fight against Alzheimer's," said Rachel Bachhuber Palbrach, Walk to End Alzheimer's Manager, Wisconsin Chapter. "Their dedication to memory care excellence mirrors our shared goal of creating a world without this devastating disease."
