    The Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley Chapter offers free education programs in-person and virtually. These programs provide information on topics including signs of Alzheimer's disease, diagnosis, communication, living with Alzheimer's and caregiving techniques.

    10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's
    Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking and behavior that interfere with daily life. Join us to learn about 10 common warning signs and what to watch for in yourself and others. 

    Advancing the Science: The Latest in Alzheimer's and Dementia Research
    In this program, you'll learn risk factors, the landscape of dementia science, and advances in clinical trials, treatments and lifestyle interventions.

    The Brain and Heart Connection
    Discuss the brain and heart connection in this special Stroke Awareness Month program. Guest speaker Dr. Paul Wright, Senior Vice President Systems Chair Neuroscience Institute at Nuvance Health, will share his expertise in cerebrovascular disease, stroke management, and medical innovation.  Caregiver Café
    The bimonthly Caregiver Café offers resources and the opportunity to connect with others, share tips on managing stress, and learn about dementia and Alzheimer's. This program provided by a grant from the NYS Department of Health, OFA, CCE/Caregiver Resource Center Program and the Alzheimer's Association. The Caregiver Resource Center is a co‐partnered program between Cornell Cooperative Extension and Office for the Aging of Sullivan County and is supported by a grant from the NYS Office for the Aging’s Caregiver Program. Dementia Conversations
    Get tips for talking about difficult issues, such as when to stop driving or going to the doctor for cognitive testing. 

    Empowered Caregiver Series 
    This education series teaches caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone with dementia. Topics include: Building the Foundations of Caregiving, Supporting the Independence, Communicating Effectively, Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors and Exploring Care and Support Services.
    Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body
    Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and how to incorporate these tips into a plan for healthy aging.  Lunch and Learn
    This program will be an overview of the Alzheimer's Association research, funding cycles and areas of therapeutic interest. Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Finances
    Join us to learn tips for managing someone else's finances, how to prepare for future care costs and the benefits of early planning. Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia 
    Join us to learn the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, stages and risk factors of Alzheimer's, current treatments, and available resources.
