    Know Where Alzheimer's Hides is intended to educate the public on the warning signs of Alzheimer's and illustrate that Alzheimer's can hide in plain sight. Memory loss that disrupts daily life may be a symptom of Alzheimer's or other dementia. Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. There are 10 warning signs and symptoms. If you notice any of them, don't ignore them. Schedule an appointment with your doctor.

    FACTS ABOUT ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE IN INDIANA

    It's estimated 121,300 Hoosiers are living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia and Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in Indiana. There are more than 216,000 caregivers in Indiana providing 322 million hours of unpaid care estimated at a value of more than $5.1 billion.

    BLACK AMERICANS & ALZHEIMER’S 

    Among Black Americans ages 70 and older, 21.3% are living with Alzheimer's, a type of dementia that affects memory, thinking and behavior. Learn what the Alzheimer's Association is doing to provide care and support and address disparities for African Americans living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

    HISPANIC AMERICANS & ALZHEIMER’S 

    Approximately 13% of Hispanics who are 65 or older have Alzheimer's or another dementia. Learn what the Alzheimer's Association is doing to address health disparities and provide support for Hispanic community members living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
