Older African Americans are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease as older Whites, and less likely to receive a diagnosis. Find key facts here. You can learn more about Alzheimer's disease and African Americans in our annual facts and figures report at alz.org/facts.

The Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association® offers support groups and educational forums tailored to the African American community. Under advisement from our volunteer Black Alzheimer's Association Advisory Council (BAAAC), we aim to empower the community with information and resources.
