    Pride Month Programs

Join us this June for Pride Month programs. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQIA+ community, a caregiver, an advocate, or an ally eager to learn and connect, there’s something for everyone this June as we come together to support inclusion, understanding, and well‑being. These virtual programs provide information on Alzheimer's and dementia, risk and prevention, caregiving, research, and living with the disease.

Brain Health Awareness & 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's
Join us to learn how to recognize common signs of the disease; how to approach someone about memory concerns; the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis; possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
    • Tuesday, June 9, 12-1 p.m.

The Impact of Alzheimer’s and Dementia in Our Community
Join us to discuss particular challenges members of the LGBTQ+ community may face related to Alzheimer's, dementia, and caregiving. During the session, we will also offer guidance for navigating these challenges. There will also be a time for attendees to share their thoughts.
    • Tuesday, June 16, 7-8 p.m. (Presented by the Alzheimer's Association LGBTQ+ Steering Committee of the New Jersey Chapter)

Brain Health Awareness & Building Foundations of Caregiving
Understanding the key aspects of caregiving can help to ensure the delivery of person-centered care while managing your own emotional and physical well being. Learn how dementia changes relationships over time, the benefit of person-centered care approaches, how to create a supportive care team and steps to identify and manage caregiver stress.
    • Tuesday, June 23, 1-2 p.m.
