The Alzheimer's Association California Central Coast Chapter offers a variety of education programs to increase knowledge and to support those facing Alzheimer's disease. Many of the below classes are available through the Alzheimer's Association Training and Education Center online.

COVID-19 UPDATE: The health and safety of our volunteers, staff and all of our constituents are the top priority as we continue to pursue our mission. Based on the guidance from local public health agencies, education classes will be conducted online or by phone.

June 4, 11, 18 & 25
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This virtual 4-week program starting June 4 provides family caregivers an opportunity to go beyond introductory education offerings, with 12 hours of personalized training with local dementia care experts. Through an evidence-based curriculum, participants will learn techniques to address their biggest concerns and become more competent caregivers. Cost is $25 to register.

10:00 am - 11:30 am

Help & Hope offers 6, one-hour live webinars over 2 weeks covering important issues that couples and families face as they travel the Alzheimer's journey together. Topics include financial planning, advocating for treatment options, safety concerns, medical prep, effective communication and self-care. Participation is free, pre-registration required.
