    The Alzheimer’s Association offers a variety of volunteer positions through activities, programs and events, all with a common purpose: to move closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Whether you prefer getting out in the community or volunteering from home, organizing an event or applying your technical skills, we need your talents. Some volunteer positions are one-time events and others are ongoing, so you can find an opportunity that fits with your schedule.

    Whatever your availability or experience, you can join other volunteer grassroots advocates in making Alzheimer’s a policy priority by writing, calling, emailing or visiting government officials.

    Volunteer for a fundraising event

    Only have a few hours to give on event day? Sign up to help with registration and check-in, cheering on event participants and more. If you have more time to give, join an event committee and use your skills for recruiting, securing sponsorships, coaching participants and spreading the word about these exciting events.

    Provide support and education to your community

    Become a program volunteer and help change lives close to home. All program volunteers are fully supported with training, education and a close-knit community of fellow volunteers who share your drive to end this devastating disease.
     

    Community Educator

    Educate your community about Alzheimer's and other dementia by delivering prepared presentations and answering questions.

    Community Representative

    Attend local community events, raise awareness of Association programs, provide basic information and connect people with services.

    Support Group Facilitator or Mentor

    Create a safe environment for caregivers or people living with dementia to share their feelings and experiences. Connect them with Association services.

    Faith Outreach Representative

    Represent the Association at local faith groups. Connect with congregants, provide basic education about dementia and share information about free resources.

    Early Stage Social Engagement Leaders

    Plan social engagement activities like bowling, baseball games, potlucks, tours and cultural events for people living with memory loss and their care partners.

    Data Entry Volunteer

    Use your skills to enter constituent data and other information into the Association’s databases, ensuring that records are updated and accurate.

    Tech Support Volunteer

    Provide technical assistance for online support groups and education programs and expand the reach of Alzheimer's Association programs in your community.

    Other Local Opportunities
