Duane Smith Caregiver Award
In November 2012, the Alzheimer's Association - Central & Western Kansas Chapter honored a gentleman who was a long-term caregiver for his wife. Despite being a “frontline” caregiver, Mr. Smith also found time to be a special friend to the Association and spoke with many groups about his caregiving journey. We would like to continue to honor Mr. Smith and ALL family caregivers by soliciting nominations for a recipient of the 8th Annual Duane Smith Caregiver Award. The award will be presented at the 10th Annual Kansas Education Conference on Dementia, June 23, 2022. All nominations must be received by April 22, 2022. Please do not nominate professional caregivers unless care is being provided outside of their work. We appreciate you taking the time to help us recognize those caregivers who provide extraordinary care for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. We look forward to receiving your nominations.
