In 2016, Lokai — a socially responsible lifestyle brand representing the importance of finding balance — partnered with the Alzheimer's Association to create the first Alzheimer's Lokai bracelet, with $1 per bracelet being donated back to the organization. Since then, sales of the Alzheimer's Lokai have helped to fund five research grants. The success of this partnership led Lokai to create two additional bracelets in support of the Alzheimer's Association — the Alzheimer's Split Lokai and the Hearts Lokai. Throughout 2020, Lokai will continue to donate $1 for each of these bracelets sold.
In January 2020, Lokai announced the launch of the Love Lokai — a fourth bracelet in support of our partnership and the second designed by renowned muralist James Goldcrown. For each Love Lokai sold, Lokai will donate $1 to the Alzheimer's Association.
During his freshman year in college, founder and CEO of Lokai, Steven Izen, learned that his grandfather had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Deeply affected by the news, Steven realized the importance of staying hopeful during life's lows, as well as humble through its highs. In need of a physical reminder to find balance during life's unpredictable journey, Steven created Lokai.
