In this program, you'll learn risk factors, the landscape of dementia science, and advances in clinical trials, treatments and lifestyle interventions.
Alive Inside
Join us to watch the award winning documentary “Alive Inside: A Story of Music and Memory”. This follows social worker Dan Cohen, founder of the nonprofit organization Music & Memory, as he demonstrates music’s ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it. Following the documentary, we will have a panel discussion and Q&A.
Caregiver CaféThe bimonthly Caregiver Café offers resources and the opportunity to connect with others, share tips on managing stress, and learn about dementia and Alzheimer's. This program provided by a grant from the NYS Department of Health, OFA, CCE/Caregiver Resource Center Program and the Alzheimer's Association. The Caregiver Resource Center is a co‐partnered program between Cornell Cooperative Extension and Office for the Aging of Sullivan County and is supported by a grant from the NYS Office for the Aging’s Caregiver Program.

This education series teaches caregivers how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for someone with dementia. Topics include: Building the Foundations of Caregiving, Supporting the Independence, Communicating Effectively, Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors and Exploring Care and Support Services.
