Alzheimer’s is more than just memory loss – it is a progressive and fatal disease. More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and nearly 12 million provide their unpaid care. Locally, the disease continues to devastate our families, finances and future. In Illinois, there are:
- 250,600 people estimated to be living with Alzheimer’s
- 465,000+ family caregivers caring for someone living with Alzheimer's.
- In 2025, these caregivers provided 668 million hours of unpaid care valued at $16.7 billion.
