Alzheimer's Training and Education for California-Based Medical Professionals
New advancements in treatment of early-stage Alzheimer’s are providing hope to millions, but too often memory concerns aren’t discussed with doctors, missing a critical first step toward diagnosis and potential treatment. Better Alzheimer’s disease care requires conversations about memory at the earliest point of concern.
To respond to each community's needs, the Alzheimer's Association offers training and tools for medical professionals, including continuing education, CEUs, cognitive health assessment training and more. Our local offices throughout California also offer education, care and support to individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.
Dementia Care Aware and cognitive health assessment training
Dementia Care Aware is a state-wide program in California for primary care providers. It provides the information and tools needed to successfully administer cognitive health assessments and determine the appropriate next steps for the patients.
