The Alzheimer’s Association announced that its 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® - Charlotte has been ranked No. 19 in the nation out of the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2019 Top 30 Walks.

The Charlotte Walk earned a spot among this ranking for the first time in 2016 and held the No. 23 spot in 2017 and 2018. Participants in the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Charlotte raised a record-breaking $744,328 to fund Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Rankings are earned by overall event revenue, and include walks from over 600 communities nationwide.

“Congratulations to all involved in our Charlotte Walk for their hard work and support in making this a nationally ranked event,” said Katherine L. Lambert, CEO of the Western Carolina Chapter. “We appreciate our Walk participants, volunteers, sponsors, staff and the greater Charlotte community for going above and beyond to make this event a huge success and to raise critical funds for Alzheimer’s research and local support services.”
