    Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. This workshop will provide information on detection, treatment and the importance of a differential diagnosis; and explore the difference between memory loss brought about by normal aging vs. Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

    The Empowered Caregiver: Communicating Effectively and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors
    This program teaches how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends and health care professionals. It also details common behavior changes, provides non-medical approaches to behaviors and recognizing when additional help is needed.

    When the Cup Runs Low: Tools for Managing Stress and Restoring Balance
    Our final session helps caregivers recognize early signs of fatigue, stress and burnout, and offers practical strategies to support their emotional, physical and mental well-being. Participants will leave with tools to build resilience and maintain balance.
