Dr. Bernstein’s project will add to our knowledge of culturally and socially-relevant strategies for brain health promotion. Her work will focus on dementia prevention interventions to improve brain health literacy and behaviors in the Latino population. This pilot study will use a qualitative approach based on the study of a culture to explore brain health education and dementia prevention among vulnerable Latinos in the San Francisco Bay Area. Insights gained from this project will provide a framework for prevention interventions that could be used in future projects.
