A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease is life changing. You can take an empowering first step by learning more about the changes you may experience, and what to do next to move forward with your life. The Alzheimer's Association offers care programs and support services that can help AKA members cope with an Alzheimer's or dementia diagnosis.

Newly Diagnosed

If you have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or another dementia, you are not alone. There are people who understand what you are going through, and help is available. There is much you can do in the early stages to cope with the changes ahead. Learn more here.

Caregiving Resources

Caregivers for Alzheimer's and dementia face special challenges. Whether you need information about early, middle or late-stage caregiving, the Alzheimer's Association is here to help. Our Caregiver Center puts information and support at your fingertips.

24/7 Helpline

Call the Alzheimer's Association's 24/7 Helpline (1.800.272.3900) anytime to receive information and support. Trained and knowledgeable staff can offer referrals to local community programs and services; dementia-related education; crisis assistance; and emotional support. Care consultations are provided by master's-level clinicians. The 24/7 Helpline also has a language translation service.
