BAYADA HOME HEALTH CARE JOINS THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION
WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S–PHILADELPHIA AS PRESENTING SPONSOR

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is World’s Largest Event Dedicated
to Alzheimer’s Care, Support and Research

Philadelphia, PA, August 9, 2023—BAYADA Home Health Care (BAYADA), a leading
nonprofit home health care provider, will join the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley
Chapter as a 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® presenting sponsor in Philadelphia. With a national
goal of establishing 100 teams, with 1,000 participants, and to reach a fundraising total of
$100,000, BAYADA is wholly committed to the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

The Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on November 11, 2023. On Walk day,
participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony —
a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The
colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people’s connection to Alzheimer’s—their
personal reasons to end the disease.

“My family has been affected twice by advanced dementia and the toll it takes,” said Tom
Cassidy,
a BAYADA Division Director and volunteer Vice Chair of the Alzheimer’s Association
Delaware Valley Community Leadership Board. “And we estimate that more than a third of the
seniors served by BAYADA are also affected. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is an important
opportunity for BAYADA to support the work of our valued partner, the Alzheimer’s
Association, and to engage our employees, clients, and families with the communities we serve.”

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease in the United States.
Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living
with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Across Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, there are
more than 489,000 people living with the disease and more than 800,000 people providing
unpaid care for their loved ones.

“The commitment and support from BAYADA Home Health Care, and from Tom Cassidy, is
truly making a difference to those impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia,” said Meg DiPanni,
Vice President of Development, Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter. “In local
cities like Philadelphia, Wilmington (DE) and Camden (NJ), support from the corporate
community is key to ensuring there are resources available to, and connections being made with
our neighbors right here at home. And with the nationwide presence of BAYADA, and the
national prevalence of this disease continuing to rise, the potential to make an even bigger impact
is real—and it’s beginning right here at the Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
