These informal jam sessions are for musicians with early stage memory loss and musicians who are caregivers. We offer two Jam Sessions: one in Prairie Village, KS and one in Topeka, KS.
The Prairie Village group meets on the 4th Thursdays of the month (with exception in November and December due to the holidays, when we will meet on the 2nd Thursday on those months).

Arts and Inspiration
This is an opportunity for individuals with Alzheimer's to experience creative encounters. This group meets at the same time that their care partners are attending a support group in the same building, but a separate room. The group meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m. at the Alzheimer's Association Education Center, 3856 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS. Minds in Motion
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter, provides free gallery experiences for individuals with memory loss The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00 p.m. See 2019 tour dates. Memory Cafe provides a place for those living with dementia and their care partners to meet new people, explore new ideas, and stay engaged in the community. There are three Memory Cafe locations.

Dementia-friendly programs at The Kansas City Public Library, Plaza Branch
Movies and Memories is held on the first Wednesday of each month starting March 2019 at 10:30 a.m. These movies are part of a special, intergenerational cinema series for individuals with dementia, their friends, and families.
