We thank the dementia care workforce for all you do to support individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. New this year, we will be offering free CEU programs throughout the year for dementia care professionals in lieu of our annual professional conference. We recognize the importance of flexibility when it comes to educational opportunities. We hope you will join us at one of our live, virtual offerings.

- Linda Pellegrini MS, GNP-BC
- Describe crises for those living with dementia and care partners that can lead to an acute care situation and how to anticipate and prepare for a possible emergency room visit or hospitalization.
- Discuss risks associated with hospitalization for someone living with dementia and how to recognize, minimize and address these risks.
- Describe helpful communication tips for care partners when interacting with health providers and for planning for post hospital care.
Hospitalization and emergency room visits are always more difficult to navigate if you or your loved one has a dementia diagnosis. This presentation will walk you through anticipating and planning for potential health crises. We will also discuss some of the risks associated with hospitalization and how to support the person living with dementia during an emergency room visit and/or hospital stay.

- This program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing at 244 CMR 5.00 for 1 contact hour.
