Join the Fight as a Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Committee Volunteer!

We’re now seeking volunteer committee members for our 17 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® events in Minnesota and North Dakota. Held in the fall, each Walk features a short program with powerful stories followed by a 1-2 mile walk that is open to everyone. As a nonprofit, we rely on volunteers, sponsors and community members coming together to make these events a success! More than 400,000 people participated in 600 Walks across the country last year.

These inspirational fundraising events are critical as they support our local programs for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementia. We provide no-fee support groups, classes, a 24/7 Helpline and donations advance critical research efforts. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. See photos of our past walks.

Why I volunteer...

"In 2023, I started volunteering at the Alzheimer’s office and also joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee as a way to contribute what I can, whether volunteer hours or financial contribution, to help in this fight.  The full time Minnesota Alzheimer’s Association staff and fellow volunteers have been a joy to collaborate with!  It’s a team effort with many people bringing their own personal story to the cause.  I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy volunteering and look forward to contributing however I can in the years ahead until the first white flower blooms."
