Our support groups are free of charge and open to the general public. They are all facilitated by trained individuals and meet at various locations and times. Most groups are for all types of dementia caregivers, but there are also specific groups designed for everyone.
Find a support group that works for you.

Support groups offer:

  • Safe place to meet and develop a mutual support system
  • Exchange practical information on caregiving problems and possible solutions
  • Talk through challenges and ways of coping
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns
  • Learn about resources available in your community

Emotional Support

Sometimes you just need to talk. The Alzheimer's Association provides a number of ways to support those with Alzheimer's or dementia, caregivers, or family members. Become a Support Group Facilitator 

Are you interested in facilitating an Alzheimer's support group in your community for dementia caregivers or those living with early-stage Alzheimer's or dementia? Join us as a volunteer support group facilitator. Training will include ways to encourage participants to share, how to run meetings and education on programs and services available to caregivers.
