    Person with Dementia Support Groups

    Person with Dementia Support Groups
    Person with Dementia Support Groups are free of charge and are geared towards individuals who have recently been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment or dementia and are in the early stage of the disease progression. All support groups are facilitated by a trained Alzheimer’s Association Support Group Facilitator and meet at various locations and times. Virtual support groups are also available.

    Individuals are required to connect with the Alzheimer’s Association prior to joining the group. Please call our 24/7 Helpline at 1.800.272.3900 for more information.

    Person with Dementia Support Groups offer:

    • A safe place to meet and develop a mutual support system
    • Exchange practical information about Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia
    • Talk through challenges and ways of coping with your diagnosis
    • Share feelings, needs, and concerns
