Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia (In Chinese-Mandarin)
Monday, May 6, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. Join us to learn about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available for some symptoms, and Alzheimer's Association resources. This program is delivered in Mandarin. 

Cultural Sensitivity in Dementia Care: Personal Experiences and Strategies
Friday, May 10, 10-11:30 a.m.
Join us for a special panel discussion in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The panelists will share their personal stories and experiences as Asian Americans providing care for their family members, remembering their grandparents, and educating the audience on the risk factors for the AAPI community. They will also discuss the importance of cultural sensitivity in care management and offer helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia.

Asian Americans are the fastest growing major racial group in the U.S., but they are among the least represented groups in scientific research. Join us on May 14 for an online discussion to learn what’s being done to educate AAPI communities about dementia and how we’re advancing research recruitment.

10 Warning Signs of Dementia (In Korean)

Alzheimer’s and other dementias cause memory, thinking and behavior problems that interfere with daily living. Join us to learn how to recognize common signs of the disease; how to approach someone about memory concerns; the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis; possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and available resources.

Managing Money: A Caregiver's Guide to Dementia
Wednesday, May 22, 1-2:30 p.m.
If you or someone you know is facing Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or another chronic illness, it’s never too early to put financial plans in place. Join us to learn tips for managing someone else’s finances, how to prepare for future care costs and the benefits of early planning.
