Reading and Reminiscing
Join other's living with a diagnosis of early-stage Alzheimer's, another dementia, or MCI, in a discussion of selected poems from the book Like Falling Through a Cloud. Author Eugenia Zuckerman wrote the book's collections of poems during the early days of her Alzheimer's diagnosis -- they eloquently express her experiences of coming to terms with early symptoms of the diseases. Together, participants will discuss some common themes that accompany a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or dementia, such as
Living Every Day with Hope. This series is designed to help participants gain new perspectives and coping skills through insightful conversations with their peers. All participants will receive a copy of Eugenia Zukerman's book, but you must register before October 26. To register for this FREE program, please contact Roni Kersey at 646.651.4717 or
rrkersey@alz.org.
- Wednesdays, November 1, 8, 15, and 22, 10-11 a.m.
